On Saturday, February 25 from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m., Indigo Bridge with the help of Union College, Reformed University Fellowship, and the “F” Street Recreational Center presented the 2012 inaugural Peace Camp. Students in 3rd through 5th grade learned and modeled the basics of conflict transformation and peacemaking: dialogue, justice, forgiveness, and reconciliation.
The technique of active learning was utilized to keep students engaged and obtain the highest impact. Team building games, role-playing, and skits were incorporated throughout the day. The issue of bullying will be addressed, including the damage it inflicts on the victims.
