Women’s Diabetes Support Group

The Women’s Diabetes Support Book Group is a community social support program, hosted by Amelia Montes, for women who are interested in a new dietary way to live. This is one part information and education based and one part support and shared experience based. You don’t have to be a woman living with diabetes to join this group, as its goal is to help create a better life balance for those with diabetes or those helping loved ones. Meetings are every other Wednesday beginning at 7 p.m.
You don’t have to read a specific book to attend, discussion revolves around a variety of sources, including:
- Type 2 Diabetes: A Patient-Expert Walks You Through Everything You Need to Learn and Do
by Gretchen Becker - Needles: A Memoir of Growing up with Diabetes by Andie Dominick
- Diabetes for Dummies by Alan L. Rubin M.D.
Lacy Lucys YA Book Club

The Lacy Lucys meet every Tuesday at 4. While the book selections are great for young adults they are also good for mature younger readers and older adults who like fantastic books. Books come predominantly from the YA section but you’ll also see straight fiction, fantasy and whatever looks best while the club picks out books. Book club books are available for 15% off.

Graphic Novel Book Club

Known to the group as GNBC, this book club self-describes their meeting as, “We spend anywhere from 1-3 hours discussing the reading selection, related topics and things not even tangentially related. Whenever possible we make-up excuses to see comic adaptations together. Or have a holiday party. Or play board games.” Book club books are available for 15% off.
Mystery Mondays

Mystery Mondays, hosted by Anne, meets the second Monday of each month to discuss the selected book. Mystery books vary widely through the genre so there will always be a little something for everyone. Book club books are available for 15% off.
LGBTQ Bookclub
The LGBTQ Book Club meets monthly at 1 o’clock on the first Saturday. Meetings are usually an hour and a half, with the first hour dedicated to discussing the book. This is followed by a short break and then the final half hour is dedicated to choosing the next book to be read by universal vote. Book club books are available for 15% off.
Social Media Book Club
The LNK Social Media Book Club is for anyone interested in learning and conversing about social media. For marketers, communicators, journalists, teachers, students and others interested in technology, we will read and discuss books that expand our understanding of social media technologies. We will explore key social topics, such as specific platforms, audience engagement, best practices, measurement and more, through books, articles, discussion, and other tools.
